Current Account Balance
Retrieve Pakistan's Current Account Balance data, encompassing trade, services, income flows, and transfers—the broadest measure of the external account.
Description
This endpoint retrieves Pakistan's Current Account Balance (CAD) data, the most comprehensive measure of the external account. The CAD includes merchandise trade balance, services, income flows (interest, dividends, remittances), and current transfers (grants, aid). A positive CAD indicates a current account surplus while negative indicates a deficit, both closely monitored by the State Bank of Pakistan and international institutions. This is one of the most critical macroeconomic indicators signaling external sector health and sustainability of external positions. Data is sourced from the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
