Description

This endpoint retrieves data on worker remittances received by Pakistan from overseas Pakistanis. Remittances are a vital source of foreign exchange, household income, and external financing for Pakistan, significantly impacting household welfare and consumption. The data includes breakdown by source country, remittance channels (banks, informal channels, money transfer operators), and frequency of receipt. Pakistan consistently ranks among the top remittance-receiving countries globally, with remittances exceeding traditional foreign investment levels. Data is sourced from the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
